Newborn Photography in Chicago
I had the pleasure of photographing one of the cutest families in Chicago, as they brought their adorable baby boy in for a newborn photo shoot! Offering newborn photography in Chicago can have its challenges, since there are so many talented photographers in our area. But, I am so happy that my clients trust in me to capture these moments for them! I am in love with how this session with baby J.J. turned out!

Oh my goodness, this family could NOT be any cuter! Big sister is all smiles, and was the entire session! She has a big job ahead of her, and she will be great at it! I love the color choice for the family, as it goes along great in my boho style newborn studio. Simple, soft , neutral colors work great with any session, especially one in my studio.
Seriously, they are both just too cute! When clients book me as their photographer, I give them both color, and black and white images from their session. This way, it’s their choice how they print for their home.
Since J.J. was beyond perfect, I was able to get lots of poses in with him. Here, we did the potato sack pose, which doesn’t work with all babies. He is bundled up tight, and sound asleep underneath a soft swaddle and adorable hat. All props, hats, wraps, swaddles, buckets, headbands are all at the studio, waiting for any newborn to use!
Sometimes, newborns wake up during their session. Most times, we try to get them to go back to sleep right away. Today, I just had to snap some of J.J.’s adorable, wide awake expressions during his newborn shoot!
After we got some wide awake shots, we went back to the swaddle look. I love how his light hair looks against the wood floor and flokati blanket. I also love his tiny fingers peeking out from the swaddle!
To finish, we had to take some photos in the bucket. I love the green tones with his skin tones in this pose.
