Chicago newborn studio
World, meet sweet, handsome George, who came to my Chicago newborn studio recently! He was absolutely perfect, and his family was so fun to work with! George was the ultimate baby to work with. He was so comfortable being swaddled for posing for his photos. He was asleep for most of his session, and when he was awake, he was an angel baby! I don’t mind when babies are awake for a portion of our session, to get some of those wide awake shots. But, I do have moms come in early to my studio to get babies nice and sleeping after a feeding to start our session. My Chicago studio has a comfy seating area, and snacks for families to enjoy during the photo shoot! Here, baby can be fed and changed comfortably, as needed, throughout the session.
George was a winter baby, as you will see his photos. He was just so beautiful! Here is a peek at some of my favorites from his adorable session! It was very hard to choose my favorites, but these are definitely some of them. Welcome to the world, George!
I am always in love with this little baby bear bonnet, with those ears! Too stinking cute! I always love a black and white option. When my clients receive their finished photos, they will get the option of color and black and white of each image, so that they can print as they choose. Some people prefer color, and some prefer black and white-so it’s each client’s option!
George’s gorgeous and perfect skin was such a compliment with these natural colored wraps. I love adding texture to my posing, with that cozy blanket under this swaddled baby. His perfect little hands peeking out from the swaddle are my favorite! And the holding his cheek pose is just too cute! 
This true, lovely moment between this new little family was so precious! Mom and Dad are so in love with little baby George, it was so amazing to capture! Their outfit color choices were on POINT, too! I always tell my clients to dress neutral. My style is neutral, vintage, rustic…so these color choices for Mom and Dad’s outfits were the best! 
Oh, George! I like can’t even stand this little smirky smile! He is literally the cutest! Again, in a black and white option just looks so classic, so timeless, and so cute in this black and white option! We are always so lucky to get a smiling photo of a newborn…doesn’t happen at every session. But, when it does, it makes everyone smile!
Here is George, wide awake! Hello, sweet boy! Sometimes, at the newborn age, these babies give us those crazy eyes. They don’t know how to focus their eyes yet, which makes for some tough photography. But, I do love some of these open eyed shots. I prefer them at the end of our session, so that I can wrap up babies and get those prop shots while they’re sound asleep. When babies are sleeping, they are easier to wrap up, and to pose! Here, George woke up, while swaddled, after I got those adorable sleepy shots, but welcomed this wide awake look!
George’s lips are perfection here! I love capturing these baby details, for Mom and Dad to never forget just how tiny their bundle of joy was! We were able to get George nice and tired again, to finish our session, with those sleepy baby images. He looks so comfortable, sound asleep here!
This color isn’t one that I use all the time, because baby’s skin has to be the right tone. George’s skin was perfection for this color combo! I just love when babies come to my studio, and things work as perfect as they did for George’s photo session!
