Baby Chicago photoshoot

Jut so you know, I don’t only photograph newborns! I also photograph babies (and families)! Now, most of my clients start as newborn clients, and continue on with baby and family photos. Honestly, I am so lucky! Lately, it seems like I have been featuring a lot of my newborn photo shoots. Today, I am featuring Miss Ruby, and her baby Chicago photoshoot! Also, don’t you just adore her name?!

Honestly, babies in the studio are so fun for me to photograph! And, I love being able to capture their personalities, their smiles, and their serious faces. And, Ruby didn’t disappoint! Here, you will see some of my featured backdrops and props for babies older than newborn.  Also, the outfits featured here are all mine for your use at a Chicago studio session. Also, you will get to smile along with this precious baby at my Chicago studio!

Now, if you know me, or you follow my blog or social media, you know I love ALL things vintage. Of course, this is my favorite chair! Maybe, some of you will be reminded of something maybe someone in your family had at one point in your childhood! Truthfully, these vintage props make me squeal with delight! And, I can use a flokati, which is typically used for a newborn session, to add some texture. And, since I use natural light in my studio, and it’s amazing light, you can see my plants love this lighting as well.

Seriously, if you are a Mom reading this, don’t you want a photo like this one??? Honestly, words can’t describe this innocent moment captured here. And, I LOVE baby kisses! Especially when baby is kissing her Mama!

Here, Ruby is loving the bed set up in my Chicago studio! Honestly, she was just laughing at me trying to get her to smile! I don’t blame you, Ruby! You know, a photographer has to do what it takes to capture those baby smiles!

Now, we all know that babies love to move. Here, Ruby was trying to be on the move, roaming around the bed. But, I kept my camera ready, and captured this moment, eye to eye, with her and my camera! By the way, this adorable outfit is offered at my studio photo shoots. As you know, I have lots of outfits and headbands for my clients to choose from in studio photo shoots.

Now, this is my favorite photo from this photo shoot! And, this is another adorable outfit to use at my Chicago studio for any baby photo shoot! Really, I just love this innocent moment. Also, no smile which I am ok with. Just Ruby, and a bucket of flowers!

Here, I love that you can see Ruby’s true smile. And, those adorable baby teeth!!!

Now, you know if you read my blogs, you know that with every photo shoot, my client’s receive the images in black and white, as well. Mostly, because some people love black and white. For some, they like to print these and display in their homes. And, some photos just look better in black and white.

Here, Ruby is reminding us to stop and smell the “roses.” And, the headband and outfit she is wearing are both available for use in my Chicago studio for your photo shoot.

Here, Ruby was blowing a kiss! Or, some call it “duck face.”  I call it adorable!

And, another outfit provided at my studio photo shoots. Also, the headband, and several others headband options, are also available for use.

Again, I love texture in my photos! Here, Ruby is sitting by my window, looking outside, wondering what’s going on!

Now, like I just said, I love texture in my photos. Here, Ruby is playing innocently with my curtains, but I love the look! This was an innocent moment, but I love it. Truthfully, it gives a little feel to my studio, showing my style, with an innocence there through a baby’s eyes.

Wait, I take back choosing a favorite photo from this baby photo shoot. Honestly, this may be my favorite! Or at least, my tied for first favorite! Truthfully, there is something about a baby’s profile that just instantly warms your heart! And, those cheeks! Of course, Ruby’s eyelashes, too, stand out in this photo!
